  • Where Did You Get Cupcake?

    Cupcake is from Rottweiler de Rotacan.

    Rotacan has a passion for breeding Rottweilers and training them to become champions and/or great house pets. The breeder’s name is Fontan.

  • When & Where Was She Born?

    Cupcake was born on the 6th of December 2014 in Rota, Spain.

  • Is Cupcake A Purebred German Rottie?

    Yes. Cupcake is a 6th generation Rottweiler.

  • Does She Have A Spanish Name?

    As a matter a fact, she does. Her Spanish name before we got her was Nimfa de Rotacan. Can you imagine her as a Nimfa though?

  • How did the name Cupcake come about?

    A month before getting our puppy, we stumbled upon the word “Cupcake”. The name just stuck with us plus, a large dog breed with the name Cupcake… It’s pretty cute and less intimidating, no?

  • Is she considered as a potentially dangerous animal in Spain?

    She is considered as a potentially dangerous animal because of her breed, therefore, we had to get her licensed and registered with the municipality. We also had to obtain a permit to walk her outside. But she is an absolute sweetheart!

  • Why did you decide to keep her tail?

    She looks pretty cute with one – it forms a question mark when it is up. Haha. Plus, she gets to wag and chase it whenever she feels like doing it. And… It is illegal to dock dog tails (and ears) in Europe.

  • Where did you train Cupcake?

    Cupcake was mostly trained at home. Her human daddy is a K9 Handler so she was getting her discipline and obedience training from him.

    When human daddy is not at home, Cupcake’s human mommy would reference some training exercises from the MWD K9 Handlers handbook and other educational training videos.

  • Is Cupcake housebroken?

    Yes! We started to potty train her using Poochie Bells when she was 3.5 months old.

    We rewarded her with Peanut Butter, Mozzarella Sticks & lots and lots of praises. Ha!

  • What Do You Feed Cupcake?

    She’s raw fed. Fueled by Raw Feeding Miami.

  • Why Are Her Ears Wonky?

    They’re Perfectly Imperfect. Her left ear got bit when she was a puppy… it’s missing a cartilage so it’s just flat. The other one tends to be a fly away ear.

  • Where Did You Get Max?

    Max is from the DoD MWD Program.

    He worked and served for 10.5 years of his life as an explosive and patrol MWD.

  • When Did He Retire & How Long Was The Process?

    Last week of October 2016. The process took longer than the usual time frame.

  • When & Where Was He Born?

    Max was born on the 19th of November 2005 in the United States of America.

  • Is Max a purebred Belgian Malinois?

    Max was a pure black Belgian Malinois.

  • Did He Get Along With Cupcake?

    They got along pretty well. It was like they’ve known each for so long.

  • What Happened To Max?

    Due to medical issues, Max crossed the rainbow bridge on April 03, 2018. He was able to enjoy his retirement life for about 2 years.
